THE CUSTOM-CARPENTRY DIFFERENCE
Anyone can hang a shelf.
Custom built-ins take a carpenter — measuring to the fraction, scribing to walls that aren’t square, and finishing so it looks like it was there when the house was framed. That’s the difference between storage that’s added and storage that belongs. It’s also the work most handymen turn down.

Questions people ask me.
How long does a built-in take?
Most closets and single built-ins run a few days. Larger millwork takes longer. You’ll get a real date at the walkthrough.
What does it cost?
Entirely dependent on size and finish, which is why I won’t quote it over the phone. Show me the space and you’ll get a written number.
What if I don’t know what I want?
Most people don’t. That’s what the walkthrough is for — I’ll bring ideas and you react to them, which is a lot easier than starting at a blank wall.
Will it look built-in or bolted-on?
That’s the entire job. Scribed to the wall, trimmed to match your existing millwork, finished to blend. If it looks like furniture shoved against a wall, we did it wrong.
Do you paint and finish it too?
Yes — primed, painted or stained, and finished on site so it matches the room it’s going into.
What don’t you do?
Structural work, roofing, HVAC, and electrical panels. If a built-in needs an outlet moved, that goes to a licensed electrician and I’ll coordinate it.
